About the event
Award-winning photographer Jules Anderson will show us how to set up photos that tell the stories you want to tell through the camera. You can use a camera or your phone, whatever you take your photos on.
This free workshop is part of a project for #youthweeknz. The workshop is aimed at ages 12 to 24 and parents/older friends are welcome to sign up, too.
Jules will cover:
- Getting the most out of your camera or phone. (Make sure you bring a camera - can be a phone.)
- How to tell stories and different ways of story telling.
- Composition framing ways of seeing before you take a photo.
There will be a walk outside the gallery, with a photo shoot. Then there will be a chance for Jules to critique your work or to have a slide show showing the subject you chose and how you went.
This event will be supervised by Grey District Youth Trust Development Coordinator Katrina Brown (katrina.brown@greydistrictyouthtrust.com)
