About the event
Whether you sing, play an instrument, or compose, and no matter your genre (classical, jazz, pop, world music, rap...) or experience level, this workshop weekend is for you!
You don't have to be studying music at school - if you are making music at home, this is a great chance to meet other young musicians.
A group of University of Canterbury music students and their tutors will be in Greymouth on the 12th and 13th of October, to work with high-school age* young people. They will be available to workshop your music and performances, and then on the Sunday, you can perform either your own piece, or with the students, or both, at a variety concert.
There will be singers, songwriters, composers, percussionists, pianists, flute players, string players, and more - all excited to be coming to meet some West Coast students, to have conversations about music and to support…
