Full Details:

Day 1: Planning & storytelling

Day 1 will cover planning your film, where to find inspiration and how to tell a good story using a visual medium. You will first write a rough script then use the program storyboarder to create an expressive storyboard that you will use during day 2 when shooting your film. This includes planning for our visual effects shot.

You will also learn a little bit about film music & audio; how to use proper audio to enhance a film.

Day 2: Shooting your film & camera techniques

Day 2 will cover some camera theory and techniques to portray your narrative. We will talk about how to capture your visual effects shot(s) and practical VFX alternatives. We will then go to several shooting locations to capture our footage.

Day 3: Editing, VFX & post processing

Day 3 we will cover how to edit your film in Blender and create our visual effects shot(s).

We will also hold a film viewing & critique session before finishing

*We are also running other workshops over the holidays, check them out!
