About the event

This is the third workshop series offered by Grey District Youth Trust and Lorna Lay-Flurrie. By popular request, we will learn about landscapes.

The course is aimed at youth aged 12 to 24. It is a free course that runs for term 3, 2022.

Times: Weekly - Thursdays 4-5.30pm at the Left Bank Art Gallery Greymouth.

All materials are provided. Places are limited so registration is highly recommended.

Course Aims:

  • Encourage students to widen their skill sets and enjoy making art works and the development of their own personal style.
  • To use sketches as a basis for art works.
  • To explore various watercolour and shading techniques.
  • To look at and appreciate the work of established modern and historical landscape artists.

The classes are supervised by the Grey District Youth Trust's Youth Co-ordinator Katrina Brown (katrina.brown@greydistrictyouthtrust.com)
